Four Oh

Hi!

I’m back from my holiday break and feeling rather well rested.  I am dying to head into my craft room, but with my 6-year-old still on holiday, it’s proving to be near on impossible!

Anyway!

CSI’s latest challenge is open for investigation, along with another beautiful sketch by our Em.  Take a look:

And here is how I solved this stunning case:

Scheme : all there

Evidence : grid, circles

Testimony : document a birthday

Turning 40 has always sounded very daunting to me; it’s safe to say that it was not something I was particularly looking forward to.  However, as I neared said age, so many of my friends had told me that ‘something happens when you turn 40’ … so I was kinda looking forward to that.  Being that I am always worried about what people think of me (being a people pleaser is not for the faint hearted), I just wanted to wake up one day and really just not obsess about being liked.

Well, I can say that it HAS happened – to a point.  I do still worry, but not half as much as I used to.

To celebrate turning 40, I threw a big party at one of my favourite golf clubs, and invited all my friends.  It was a great evening and everyone took the time to dress up according to the theme.  I will never forget celebrating with my friends.

And as for being 40?  It’s not that bad after all!

  1. You are beautiful and definitely don’t look 40! Love the wordplay in your title and those layered circles and especially your story!

  2. I just have to say you look amazing for a 40 year old. I too turned 40 last year and I wasn’t looking forward to it either, but I am finding that I am more accepting of myself than ever before. Fantastic layout. Love how bright it is and it’s the perfect party page. xx
