So my final share for today is another one for Anna’s Craft Cupboard:
I used several butterflies in my layering and decided also, that this photo of my daughter suited the theme to a ‘T’! My background paper has butterflies, as does my washi tape and then I finished off by using a butterfly stamp.
I loved the mood board that Anna’s Craft Cupboard is hosting this month and couldn’t resist playing along with it!
Here’s what I did. I wanted to use the black minimally, so I added it as little chippie frames. I was inspired by the circular fans, so I chose some paper with a similar design. I loved all the flowers, so I added some of those too in the form of fussy cutting, ephemera and a stencil. Lastly, I added some gold coloured paper for some glam!
Today I’m sharing a few challenge entries again!
First up is the lovely sketch over at Sketchabilities:
I flipped the sketch once, anti-clockwise and put this together:
Today at The Studio Challenges, we have the most gorgeous mood board for you to play along with. I love every aspect of Autumn. From the crisp and rainy days to the colour scheme all ’round. I love how Mother Nature uses this season to show off her artistic talents and hues!
Here is the layout I created based on this mood board. I used all the colours and then I also fussy cut some leaves to match the theme and some flowers for additional pops of colour.

Hello my dear friends!
Today I want to show you the layout I made for Case File 262 over at CSI: Color Stories Inspiration. It has been one of my top favourites to work on so far!
Here is the case:
And this is how I solved it:
Colours used : fuchsia, chartreuse, white, lemon and black
I used papers on my layout, that were a direct inspiration of the image of this challenge – namely: florals, polka dots, stripes and music notes. My bottom most layer is in the shape of a star / flower, which is just like the floral design on the bottom of the image. Lastly, I added a flamingo and also some flamingo print paper.
My journaling is around the words ‘happy’ and ‘darling’.
This photo was taken just after you’d had your make up done by the ‘pamper ladies’ at your recent 8th birthday party – you were just SO incredibly happy, my darling child. I am so pleased that I happened to catch this happy moment so perfectly! How can I not look at this photo of you and feel happiness myself?
Such a great sketch to work with this month at Scrap The Girls! I really enjoyed working on this one!
I’m really starting to enjoy taking part in sketch based challenges; I used to struggle a little, but I’m starting to find my feet a little more. Here is what I did with the 1 Sept sketch over at Let’s Get Sketchy – this is my debut entry into their challenges!
I flipped the sketch once, anti-clockwise to create this:
I love, love, looooved working on the September challenge at Scrapping Clearly! Yellow evokes so much happiness and bright joy – that I couldn’t resist using that sentiment on my layout.
I was inspired by the chevron / triangular design of the tassles, so I used a base page with a similar design. I also took inspiration from the flowers and used those in my layout; as well as the label on what appears to be a bottle – so I used ephemera that looked a little like bottle labels. The mood board image had varying shades of yellow, grey and black – so I mimicked that by choosing light and dark shades of those colours.
The challenge for the month of September over at Kraft Plus is to use office stationery on your layout.
As soon as I saw this challenge reveal, I already knew what paper clips I was going to use – I’ve had them for AGES and have been waiting for the perfect opportunity to use them. I also added a few metal clips, some ‘folder’ type paper and notebook paper in my layering. And, as it turns out, I ended up using pretty much all the colours in the inspiration image as well!
Here’s what I created:
