I really loved working with the colour palette for November over at Anna’s Craft Cupboard:

Here’s what I made, using these gorgeous colours.  I also added flowers and butterflies – direct inspiration from the mood board.

In Love With My Life | CSI DT

Hi there,

Today I’m sharing how I solved Case File 266 at CSI.  Here are all the clues:

No automatic alt text available.

And this is how I solved the case!

As is pretty obvious by looking at my layout, I tried to emulate the shelving in the picture by placing my frames on my layout first. Additional inspiration I took from the image (aside from the glorious colours!) was the use of stars, hearts and birds; as well as some flowers and a phrase sticker to create my title. My journalling is along the lines of being grateful for something; as November is Adoption Awareness month, I decided to do a layout and write about how very thankful I am for adoption and our Birth Mom for selecting us to be Isabella’s parents.

Good Friends

Hi friends,

Two challenge entry shares for you today!  First up is this gorgeous board from Scrap The Girls:

I just love this one!  I took inspiration from the roses and also the colouring of Rapunzel’s dress – shades of blue and purple. I was also very drawn to the black and white images on the upper right hand corner – so I tried to create one colour (purple) with black and white.  Because there was an overall princess theme, I added a few feminine touches with some doily die cuts and some bling swirls.

Live In The Now

Two more entries to share with you!!!  This one is for the latest challenge at Challenge YOUrself.

I chose some paper that had butterflies printed on it already; and the photo I chose to use, is one where Isabella is wearing her Cinderella dress – it’s full of butterflies too!  I added a few miniature buttons and one butterfly shaped button beside the title and I also added a butterfly chippie.  My bling is the oval frame on either side of the photograph (it’s shiny silver) and I also put a few dots of glitter glue around my photo cluster.

Perfect Moments

So there is this gorgeous mood board to play along with at Scrapping Clearly that I simply could not resist!  I have been drawn to coral so much lately…

It’s awesome, right?

So here is what I created, using the colours of this awesome mood board as inspiration.  I chose the background paper, because it reminded me a little of the mesh on the sneaker – and then I also wanted to include some circular aspect, like the chalk and the pattern on the headboard.

Circle of Strength

Next up, is the layout I created for the November challenge at Sketchabilities:

I flipped the sketch once, anticlockwise.  The image is of my mom, my daughter and I.  And I chose the title ‘Circle of Strength’ because the three of us have been through the wars as of late, but we have all come out strong and fighting (even though we did have to allow ourselves the odd bit of wallowing!).
