2Crafty Chippies, Challenge YOURself DT

Thankful | Challenge YOUrself DT

Hello!

I love that I get to start my Challenge YOUrself DT journey off with such a wonderful first new challenge!

I chose the word ‘thankful’ to use on my layout. I just think that when life hands you lemons and you’re feeling low, it helps to think of things that you are grateful and thankful for. In the case of the layout I created for this challenge – it’s my little family, the people I get to share my home and my everyday life with.

My title chippie is from 2Crafty Chipboard. Here are some closeups:

A Dream | CSI DT

Just look at this vibrantly beautiful case over at CSI: Color Stories Inspiration to kick start 2020!

Isn’t it a stunner!? Here is how I solved the case:

I worked with most of the colours in the inspiration image. The overall design of my layout is based on the square of the cake and the border of the stand beneath it. I have also added in some flowers (fussy cut, stickers and ephemera) and some beautiful chipboard butterflies. My paper layering includes polka dots and florals. That gorgeous title, butterfly and border chippie is all from 2Crafty Chipboard!

My journalling is a January Prompt – “A Quote That Inspires You”

I just love this phrase / quote – and I can’t help BUT sing it. My child is my dream and my wish that my heart made. Every day I am grateful that I get to be her mommy.

Wild At Heart | Scrap The Girls

Being that I am so completely and utterly a tactile girl, the first challenge for 2020 over at Scrap the Girls really hit the mark for me.

I totally went balls to the wall with this one. From the muted, straw coloured background with splashes of colour, to the stitching. Here’s what I created:

Considering that my daughter is wearing a pair of kitty ears, I couldn’t resist that cheeky title from 2Crafty! Here are some close ups:
