2Crafty Chippies, CSI DT Post

Oh I just loved the photo’s that Debbi sourced for our May Cold Case File! I adore turquoise and red together, so this one was just awesome to work with!

Cute, right!? Here is my piece:

So guys, I really DUG DEEP into the dark recesses of my stash for this one! Those recipe themed elements are so old!

I chose a grey-ish background, just like in the images and as you can see – everything is just food / baking inspired. I highlighted the photograph of my daughter decorating cookies, with a fun and funky 2Crafty Chipboard frame.

Here are some more pics of this piece.

Happiness Is This | CSI DT

Debbi has chosen yet another beautiful inspiration image for Case File 319! How can you NOT love it?!

See!??!?? Here is my layout for this challenge.

I worked with white, pink, grey, red and turquoise.

I was drawn to that single flower on the bottom right – so I used some 2Crafty Chipboard flowers and coloured them to match the palette; then I added some black enamel dots. I also added on some fussy cut flowers and foliage. I have mixed cursive font with print font as well.

My journalling is on ‘an outfit that makes you happy’. You can’t really see it, but I am wearing my Valentine dress… Every year, we dress up in red and white for Valentine’s Day. I’ve been doing it for YEARS now and am loathe to break tradition.

Here are some close ups:

Hey You! | CSI DT

The moment I saw this case file, I was besotted! There are so many adorable elements to inspire you – and the colour palette is just divine!

No photo description available.

Here is what I put together for this challenge.

I worked with orange, yellow, white, grey and black.

I chose to work with a woodgrain paper background (just like the image) and then I added in some camera print paper, a gorgeous 2Crafty chipboard polaroid, some rounded edges and then zig-zag sticker, which reminded me of the cell phone cover on the bottom right hand corner.

My journaling contains the inspiration words ‘light’ and ‘mine’.

Here are some more images.

Finding Beauty In Everyday | Scrap The Girls

We have a gorgeous, boho inspired challenge this month at Scrap The Girls; I just love it so much!

And this is my creation.

Not only did I want to work with more earthy colours, I also wanted to add flowers and feathers. I fussy cut flowers and feathers; and I also used this beautiful 2Crafty Chipboard frame, which is pretty much a flower crown! I added on some doily elements, to copy the doily dream catchers in the image.

Here are some close ups.
