I’m up on the 2Crafty blog, sharing my latest creation for them. Pop on over to see more images and details of how I worked with each chippie piece.
Our second reveal at CSI has gone live – and it’s another beaut!!!
Here is my take on this challenge.
I worked with all those glorious colours! I was inspired by the vintage feel of the scene, so worked around that – scrapping a pic of my mom, Circa 1953. I cut the pic into an oval shape to fit behind the oval vintage frame. Instead of using metal, I used some metallic UTEE to give the appearance of distressed metal on the chippie frame. I did a bit of a watercolour effect on my background.

This month at Challenge YOUrself, we’d like you to scrap about something that you love (don’t forget to include YOU in your layout!).
There are several things I love (family aside – those would be shopping, reading, doing crosswords, taking road trips and beach combing) – BUT (huuuge BUT) what I really, really, REALLY love is practicing yoga! I do so pretty much every day on a beautiful wine farm here in the heart of my home town, Durbanville. Our view over the vineyards is just so utterly sublime (especially now, in the early days of Autumn) and serene and peaceful and gentle and soul restoring.
This picture below was taken way up on top of a beautiful orange sand dune on our recent trip to Namibia.
Our last challenge for April at CSI: Color Stories Inspiration still carries the Easter theme, and has another gorgeous inspiration image and colour palette.
So I used all the colours (even though my misted egg-shape came out a bit too orange for my liking, after I applied the Glossy Accents!). My Evidence used: strips, dots, flowers, something transparent and weaving. My Testimony is Cheer! How this new jacket of my daughters’ brings cheer whenever and wherever she wears it!
Our first challenge for CSI: Color Stories Inspiration for the month of May is an absolute stunner! I just ADORE this colour palette and the inspiration image has plenty of gorgeous features to inspire you!
I used all the colours in the palette provided. My evidence includes pattern similar to the wallpaper, textured paper, flowers. My testimony was from the May Prompt: A Recent Good Moment. The photo was taken on the last night we spent in Namibia while on holiday at the beginning of the year.
